Welcome

I am a sound craftsman from Brisbane, Australia.

I aim to create sophisticated and artful music productions that are reflections of the unique personalities of my clients.

Over a period of 8 years to the end of 2020, I worked out of The Palace studio owned by renowned producer Caleb James. Many of the songs created here received radio support from Triple J, and some have been heard by millions of listeners on Spotify. At the start of 2021 I moved to an exciting new studio complex at Folklore Sound, with Studio 2 here becoming my new home base.

I have worked on projects for TV creators including Disney, Sesame Street, and Moose. In advertising, I have worked on pieces for RACQ, Maggi, Cooper Tyres, The Cheesecake Shop, Goodlife Gyms, Freedom Aged Care, Aussie Farmers Direct and more.

Outside of the studio, I work as a live sound engineer, and have toured Australia several times in this capacity. During the day I’m often working as a sound engineer for the Conservatorium of Music Theatre.

I hope you enjoy the examples of my work that are jotted throughout this site. If you have any questions about what I do – or what I can do for you – please don’t hesitate to send me an email: stevethornely@live.com.au.
