West Side Story – Sound Designer
In 2017, I’m fortunate to have been selected as the sound designer and operator for the Conservatorium’s main musical event for the year, West Side Story. I’m looking forward to working with the truly outstanding team of cast, creatives, and technical crew involved in this show.I am experienced with both front of house and monitor engineering in live sound, and am comfortable operating most modern consoles. I typically engineer around five shows every week at a range of venues.
I work as a sound operator at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music Theatre, which is a world-class commercial venue with state-of-the-art variable acoustics. This job sees me involved in all aspects of theatre work including sound, AV, and lighting.
I am a freelance sound engineer for a number of Brisbane production companies including Aisle 6, BCL, Event AV Hire, and Australian Event Productions.
I work as a theatre sound engineer for Marist College Ashgrove, and am in-house engineer at the Red Room UQ.
I have worked as a touring Sound Engineer for The Strums for over four years, who are one of Brisbane’s most active bands. In this time, I worked on shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra Adelaide, Geelong, Newcastle, Warnhambool, Byron Bay, Toowoomba, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
